Making a claim
- 1Message us on WhatsApp with your certificate number and a short video of the problem — a buzz or rattle is much easier to diagnose heard than described.
- 2We will tell you within a day whether it is covered and whether it can be fixed where you are or needs to come back to the workshop.
- 3Covered repairs are free of charge. Shipping is yours to cover in both directions. The repair is what is free, not the courier — and a bulky box travelling twice across the country costs more than most of the repairs do.
Covered for 12 months — free
Faults in how it was built.
- Joints coming unglued, or ply separating anywhere on the body
- A panel splitting, warping or lifting on its own
- A steel snare wire or its mount working loose inside
- The tuning knob, its thread or its bracket seizing or failing
- An internal brace coming adrift and buzzing
- Feet parting from the base
- Lacquer clouding, bubbling or peeling without being knocked
Not covered — repaired at cost
Still fixed, for as long as it exists.
- A cracked or broken tapa from a heavy strike or a knock
- Dents, deep scratches, and anything that has been dropped
- Water damage, or a box left out in the rain or the sun
- Damage from standing on it or resting something heavy on top
- Anything already modified, refinished or repaired elsewhere
After the twelve months, and for damage that was never ours, we still fix any cajon we built — for as long as it exists. You pay for materials and the hours on the bench, at what they cost us. We do not price repairs to make money on them.
